The Story Behind The Edge
Grounded in lived experience, guided by values, and driven by a vision to create a world where neurodivergent minds are understood, celebrated, and empowered to thrive.
Where It All Began
The Divergent Edge began with our founder, Dani Bultitude, a social worker and therapeutic coach who built her career helping people navigate complexity, identity, and change. After being diagnosed with ADHD in adulthood, Dani experienced firsthand the gaps that exist in traditional mental health services.
Too often, neurodivergent adults were left feeling unseen, unsupported, or expected to "fit" into therapeutic models that simply weren't built with them in mind.
From that lived experience, Dani recognised the need for something different: therapy and coaching that was truly neuro-affirming. A space where clients could explore who they are without judgment, work through long-held patterns, and develop practical strategies that made sense for their lives. In 2021, she launched The Divergent Edge with the vision of validating, celebrating, and supporting neurodivergent adults in ways that traditional services had overlooked.
Building a Different Kind of Practice
From the very beginning, The Divergent Edge was never meant to feel like a clinic. It was built as a safe place for people who had spent years feeling out of step, misunderstood, or told they needed to change in order to fit in.
Here, lived experience is respected, not dismissed. The idea of "normal" is challenged, and support is shaped around what helps you move forward.
For many clients, simply realising they weren't alone was life-changing. Being neurodivergent was never the problem; the problem was trying to navigate a world that didn't make space for them. At The Divergent Edge, every strength, struggle and story is honoured as part of the whole.
Dani's approach grew from that philosophy. She began weaving together the depth of psychotherapy with the practical focus of ADHD coaching, creating a model that was both therapeutic and hands-on. It allowed clients to explore the roots of their experiences while also finding usable strategies for everyday life. That blend of insight and practicality has since become the heart of our work.
A Turning Point in 2024
In 2024 , Dani met Lionel Beraldi, a management consultant and executive leader who later came to understand his own neurodivergence. His own lived experience, paired with senior leadership roles at companies such as WeWork and Foodora (Delivery Hero), gave him a unique perspective.
Bringing this expertise into The Divergent Edge opened the door to new possibilities.
Together, Dani and Lionel recognised that the gaps in neuro-affirming care weren't limited to individuals. Workplaces, clinicians, and systems were struggling to adapt too. This realisation became the foundation for The Divergent Edge's next chapter: expanding beyond individual therapy to create wider systemic change.

The Work We Do
Today, The Divergent Edge works across three interconnected areas:
- Neurodivergent Therapy & Coaching: Offering therapeutic ADHD coaching, counselling, assessment, and long-term therapeutic support.
- Neuro-Inclusive Leadership & Workplace Strategy: Helping organisations build inclusive systems, develop leaders, and foster workplaces where neurodivergent staff can thrive.
- Neuro-affirming Clinical Training & Supervision: Equipping other health professionals to provide neuro-affirming care through supervision, mentoring, and professional development.
Together, these arms reflect one simple truth: neuro-inclusion isn’t just an idea. It’s something we live, teach and help others put into practice so that more people can feel safe, valued and able to flourish.
Our Values
- Radically Human-Centred: Placing the individual at the core of every interaction, honouring their unique experiences, needs and strengths.
- Empowering for Self-Advocacy: Equipping individuals and organisations with the tools, confidence, and knowledge to advocate for themselves and others – fostering autonomy, leadership and resilience.
- Fostering Enduring Connections: Providing long-term, holistic support that balances broad systemic change with deep, personalised interventions.
- Designing for Inclusion: Creating spaces and solutions that honour the full spectrum of neurodivergent experiences – from individuals to teams and organisations. Our approach bridges neurodivergent and neurotypical needs, fostering environments where everyone can thrive.
- Neurodivergent-led Innovation: As a fully neurodivergent leadership team, we merge deep lived experiences with specialised expertise to create strategies that don’t just work – but genuinely empower neurodivergent individuals and organisations to thrive.

Looking Forward
At The Divergent Edge, our mission remains clear: to help people understand their unique wiring, reclaim their identity, and thrive in every part of life (personally, professionally and collectively).
What started as Dani’s vision has grown into a practice and consultancy that stands for something bigger than us. It’s about shifting how the world sees neurodivergence, creating spaces where difference is not just accepted but celebrated, and building systems that allow people to bring their whole selves forward.
We know this from lived experience
When neurodivergent minds are supported to flourish, the ripple effect touches families, workplaces and communities. Everyone benefits. And that is the future we’re committed to building.
We will walk alongside you as you find your voice, your direction, your edge.
