Counselling
Our counsellors provide a neurodivergent affirming intervention which integrates approaches such as cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, mindfulness, emotion focused therapy, interpersonal therapy, motivational interviewing, anger management, and practical strategies, adapted to the needs of neurodivergent brains.
Many clients feel they have previously ‘failed’ at therapy delivered through traditional means. Our clinicians understand how neurodivergence requires a specific adaptation of these approaches to be meaningful. Counselling is provided by Accredited Mental Health Social Workers. The Divergent Edge provides specialist therapeutic support for neurodivergent couples, whether one or both of the couple has identified they are neurodivergent.
We provide opportunities for psychoeducation, renewed self awareness and discovery for the couple as an entity.
Seeking support for your relationship will assist you to work through the challenges you are facing to build a firm, emotionally safe and secure base to grow your partnership to the next level.
