ADHD Coaching & Counselling on the Sunshine Coast
Practical, compassionate support from neurodivergent coaches.
We offer therapeutic ADHD coaching and counselling that focuses on real-life experiences. Support that helps you understand your patterns, reduce friction in daily life, and build ways of working that are sustainable for you.
Who We Are
We are a neurodivergent-led practice. We understand that ADHD is rarely just about focus or productivity. It shapes how you experience yourself, your relationships, and the world around you.
ADHD is often the entry point, but for many people, it overlaps with other neurodivergent profiles or life factors. This might include autism, AuDHD, giftedness, PMDD, perimenopause, menopause, sexuality, gender, or identity. We work with the whole picture, not a single label.
Care that respects your wiring
We work from strengths. Our support recognises ADHD alongside broader neurodivergent experiences, without deficit-based language or pressure to fit a “normal” template.
Clinically grounded
Our coaches, counsellors, and psychologists are qualified, accredited, and ethically grounded. You can expect care that is thoughtful, safe, and clear about next steps.
Easy to access on the Sunshine Coast and across QLD
Sessions are online-first with flexible times, making it easier to stay consistent without adding extra travel or planning load.
Led by lived experience
Every practitioner is neurodivergent. We pair empathy with professional skill to offer support that makes sense in real life.
What ADHD Coaching on the Sunshine Coast Helps You Do
Put language to your story
We explore how your attention, motivation, emotions, and energy actually work. Understanding your patterns can ease self-blame and make it easier to explain your needs at home, work, or study.
Make tasks workable
Together we build systems that fit your brain and your capacity. This may include body doubling, first-bite starts, visual prompts, and simple daily anchors that hold even on messy days.
Find clarity with assessments
For many adults, naming their experience is a turning point. Our ADHD and Autism assessments look beyond checklists to your history, strengths, sensory profile, and co-occurring traits, then guide practical next steps.
Be supported by people who live it
Expect warmth, collaboration, and accountability that feels steady rather than heavy.
Reach support anywhere on the Sunshine Coast
All sessions are online and designed to fit around your life.
Funding note: Some services may be eligible for JobAccess Employment Assistance Fund support. Certain practitioners offer private health rebates and work with self-managed or plan-managed NDIS clients. Ask us about your situation.
Our Services
ADHD Coaching
Practical, affirming coaching tailored to your brain. We help you build focus, manage impulses, and create daily rhythms that last. Instead of squeezing into someone else’s idea of “normal,” we shape strategies that fit your life.
Therapeutic ADHD Coaching
Unique to The Divergent Edge, this blends the insight of counselling with the tools of coaching. We support ADHD alongside autism, AuDHD, twice-exceptionality, and wider neurodivergent experiences. Sessions may include identity work, emotional regulation, trauma-informed care, and executive function strategies you can use straight away.
ADHD Counselling
A space to drop the mask. Counselling offers room to process burnout, anxiety, and big emotions, while building foundations for longer-term wellbeing in a neuro-affirming way.
Assessments
Sometimes clarity is the most supportive next step. Our ADHD and Autism assessments focus on your lived experience, strengths, and sensory profile to inform support that works day to day. Assessments are available online for Sunshine Coast and Queensland clients.

What Changes When Support Fits
When ADHD is treated like the only issue, support can miss the mark. Real life is usually more layered than that.
At The Divergent Edge, we work with the whole picture. ADHD alongside autism, giftedness, PMDD, perimenopause or menopause. ADHD alongside identity, relationships, work pressure, and the long-term cost of masking. That is where our approach is different.
Our team
Our team includes neurodivergent therapists and coaches who understand ADHD from the inside out. We know it rarely exists in isolation, and we work with the full picture, including identity, burnout, hormones, and other neurodivergent traits. You will be supported by people who listen carefully and work alongside you.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does an ADHD coach do?
An ADHD coach helps you set goals, build structure, and follow through. Sessions often focus on planning, time management, task initiation, prioritising, and keeping routines steady when life gets busy. We also work through personal challenges that tend to sit alongside ADHD.
Do I need a diagnosis to start?
No. Many people start coaching while they are still exploring whether Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder fits their experience. If you later choose to pursue an assessment, we can talk through the process and what support could look like along the way.
How is ADHD coaching different from counselling or therapy?
Coaching focuses on next steps, structure, and building habits that are workable over time. Counselling and therapy focus on emotional patterns, stress, and life experiences, including the impact of a traumatic event.
At The Divergent Edge, we also offer therapeutic ADHD coaching, which brings these approaches together. It allows space for emotional context while still working on practical change.
What can ADHD coaching help with?
ADHD coaching can help with:
- keeping on top of daily responsibilities
- reducing overwhelm and decision fatigue
- starting tasks and finishing them
- planning weeks that match your energy
- boundaries, communication, and work routines
- coping with change, hormones, and stress
We draw from a holistic toolbox and choose what fits your life and capacity.
Are sessions available to Sunshine Coast clients?
Yes. Sessions are delivered online. Many Sunshine Coast clients choose this because it reduces travel time and makes consistency easier.
